Kaplowe Studios was founded in 1988 by Mark Kaplowe. Mark learned his craft of radio advertising at WYBC, the Yale radio station back in 1976. He went on to a career in radio broadcasting in New Haven for the next 10 years, and found radio commercial production to be the most satisfying part of his work.
In 1987, Mark went to New York as a voice over artist and spent the next 12 years learning television advertising from some of the largest advertising agencies in the world. Mark's voice could be heard on national TV commercials for Red Lobster, Betty Crocker, Zest, Minwax, Mcdonalds, Butterfinger and other major advertisers. He was also chosen as the signature voice of the HBO networks!
Mark met a sales professional named Carl Colangelo in 1987 and was so impressed with his integrity, he asked him to run Kaplowe Studios while Mark commuted daily to New York. Carl attracted hundreds of clients with his hard work and honesty. Carl never makes a promise he can't keep and clients love his ability to get their commercials produced quickly and affordably.
Mark and Carl were soon joined by Bob Bray, a highly talented radio writer, producer and voice actor. Bob's range offered clients a new level of creativity and his production skills soon earned him the title of executive producer. Today Bob oversees every one of the hundreds of commercials we send out every month.
Michal was hired as our senior TV producer, beating out dozens of applicants through a rigorous competition. His work is beautiful and he is lightning fast in the edit suite. Plus, he loves working with our clients, making even the most difficult special effects look easy. He'll try anything if he thinks it will help our clients grow their businesses.
Noah is a gifted artist and animator who enjoys making our TV spots jump out of the screen with beautiful graphics and dazzling special effects. He can take a client�s logo or mascot and bring it life.
Mike is a film maker and master photographer with 3 independent films to his credit. He became the DP at Kaplowe Studios in 2008 and shoots many of our Videos and TV spots. Mike's work ethic, desire to get the best shots for our clients and keen eye make him one of the best in the business!
Jen started at Kaplowe Studios in 1995 as our bookkeeper. Today she is our office manager and oversees every aspect of our administration. Her pleasant manner and attention for detail make her a joy to work with.
Ralph has been in media since 1975. His resume spans over 4 decades working for both media outlets as well as agencies. It's that experience that gives our clients the best value when placing their media.
Adriana has worked on web design for Fortune 500 companies and brings a world of experience to Kaplowe Studios Internet Marketing Department. She can design any site, regardless of functionality or budget, and make it look easy. She has the ability to understand what our clients need and execute it quickly.
Chris has years of experience in the world of Internet Marketing and IT Project managment. He has worked with everyone from Multi National companies to Start Ups, from concept to execution. Regardless of the complexity of the project, he always brings a cool head and a firm understanding of the most efficient way to proceed. Chris oversees our entire Interactive Department and is very popular with our team and all our clients.
